I think that she does not need to worry too much.
Ella is just about the sweetest thing on the planet, and has become more so as she has aged. Her teachers at school adore her, her leaders at church have nothing but praise, she is helpful and cheerful at home. She's a great babysitter for her little sisters and even did her first paid gig this summer. She only had to call once, because she had never changed a baby's diaper and needed some help with that. She is learning to cook and crochet (thank you Sister Bateman!), still practicing piano, and enjoying reading when she has time. At the beginning of the school year, she tried out for the 7th grade volleyball team, and while she didn't make it, she gave it her best effort and was asked to be one of the team managers. She learned a lot traveling with the team and even got a shirt with her name on it. :)
To try out for volleyball, Ella had to have a school physical, where we learned that she still needed one booster for an immunization. And...we learned that for some reason Ella has become deathly afraid of shots. We actually thought she might hyperventilate/pass out before the nurse could poke her, but we all survived. Whew! Not sure when that began, but she should not need any shots for a while, so we'll work on it. Haha.
This year was a smaller birthday celebration, since last year was a huge one, so she invited her friend Casey out for the day. We went to Idaho Falls and they chose to go ice skating and out to lunch at the Olive Garden, where Ella ordered the largest shrimp plate on the menu.
Back at home we enjoyed ravioli with spinach (she loves spinach) and brownies with ice cream. She is super thrilled to have received money from parents, grandmas, and grandpas, because her next goal is to purchase another pet: a hamster. Stay tuned!
