and we're back.

Health has returned to this Thygerson household, blessed day. We took the last of the antibiotics today, and everyone seems to be back to normal, myself included. Which is good, for most of last week I wanted to crawl inside a hole somewhere, and moms aren't allowed to do that. Robitussin, Benadryl, menthol, and Ramen had to suffice. (All approved pre-natal medications, even if combined.) Sunday we all made it to church finally and then yesterday we bundled up and actually took a walk. By the time we got home, the sun had dropped behind the mountain and the temperature had plummeted from the 30's to much, much colder. But we all survived, and then thawed with hot cocoa. Mmmmm.

To make our sick time more interesting, the washing machine stopped working last week, too. For several days I had clothes and water, sitting and soaking... I did some research on the internet and made an educated guess about what part we might need to replace, bought one from a local repair service place, and our resident fixer-upper Kip put the new part in on Saturday. Ta-da, washer works now. Which is great, just means that *sigh* I'll have to wait longer to buy myself a fancy new front loading machine. :o)

No really great stories to tell this week. Since we're feeling better, we've done exciting catch-up things like vacuum the car out and scrub the bathtubs. Woo hoo! The kids have entertained themselves very well considering we've been indoors and at home most of the time. Caleb learned his first sight words and is quick to point out "a" or "and" anyplace that he sees them. Ella, standing motionless, still frozen stiff after our walk yesterday, said, "Thanks, mom, for taking us on a walk." Sweet girl.
