Concert-palooza!

Things have been hopping around here, as usual.  This week was the culmination of many weeks of preparation for both Caleb and Ella: Caleb's choir concert with Living Springs co-op, and Ella's dance recital.  They were both a lot of fun - it was a little hard to get pictures to share and remember, but I will post a few...
We like this first one, not because of Caleb, but if you look at the boy three to the left of Caleb...hahaha!!

Here is a better one of our shining star - he did so good!  He was the loudest of the whole group, and very animated.  He even gave us two thumbs up after the first song. :)  Love it!

Then Friday night, it was Ella's turn to get her costume on and spread sparkles on the cheeks:

This next picture is out of focus (it was a little hard to take pictures in the dark auditorium with the girls dancing around...)  but Ella is in the middle.  Again, though, the funny part about this one is not Ella, but the girl on the far right...she stood like that with her hands on her mouth the whole dance. :)  Poor little terrified thing!

But Ella was not scared and did a GREAT job kicking and twirling around in her little dress.  She was very excited to get a rose and treat from her teacher after she was done.  And Rachel yelled her name loud and clear lots of times, so she had a great cheering squad.

So, it's been fun.  The kids love finding Mark every morning (see post below) and enjoy being in full Christmas mode - lights, tree, music, baby Jesus, the works.  We attempted to make colored and shaped soaps for the grandmas and grandpas, but it was bust.  So now you know what you are NOT getting for Christmas.  We had a good time doing it, at least!

Last night we got to see the Parade of Lights downtown, and we still have gingerbread houses on the list, along with making presents for family and friends.  Should be a fun few weeks and we are looking forward to our trip to OK to visit family out there.  Yay!  We love Christmas!
