Setting: In our backyard, Caleb is throwing a tennis ball in the air with one hand and trying to hit it with a bat in the other.
Me: Hey bud, do you want me to pitch for you? (With a baseball?)
Caleb: No.
Me: Are you sure? It would be like real baseball and you could hold the bat with two hands. Then you could practice to get better.
Caleb: No. Practice does NOT make you better.
Me: Huh?
Caleb: Practice does not make you better.
Me: Um, well, yeah, it usually does.
Caleb: Remember in Star Wars how he got his hand cut off with the sword by Darth Vader?
Me: Yeah...
Caleb: That's why.
Me: Oh, OK.
