YARD!

It's pretty much done.  The backyard, which when we moved in, we thought needed "a little TLC" is finally pretty much done.  YAY!  The before pictures:  dead weeds and dirt, rock, stump, half dead tree, random patio.  Lovely.

 

We brought in the sand/rock stuff and set up the tramp...

 Pulled a million buckets of river rock out, and dug out the dead stump...

 So long, mostly dead tree (we had a service take it down to an 8 foot stump, too risky to do it ourselves, with all the fences and houses and pets and children.  It was HUGE.)...

 Then Kip used his manly muscles and a big winch from work to crank out the massive stump.  See those roots?  They were all over the yard, we dug them out.  Fun, fun...

 Kip and our friend Bryant dis-assembled the weird patio thing in the back of the yard...we shifted the tramp and sand/gravel stuff, moved all the stone bed liner, and Kip roto-tilled everything for a fresh start...

 

 We laid sod Memorial Day (you might notice little dead spots, from the sod cooking while we were all sick.  We plan to seed them in this fall...) and blocked off a garden for the back, which is thriving.  We love our yard!
