Owl Pellet

To finish off our study of birds, we dissected an owl pellet.  Which is not poop, but a wad of fur, bones, and feathers that is un-digestible and therefore vomited up by the owl after a few meals.  Way better than poop. Haha.  At first the kids were kind of grossed out, but after they started pulling it apart and finding tiny little mouse bones, they got really into it.
We soaked the bones in bleach water solution to clean and whiten them, then Caleb spent a decent amount of time painstakingly assembling the bones into little skeletons.  Nice work, bud!
