There is no bad weather, only unsuitable clothing.

Back to the grindstone, right?  Back to work, back to school, back to cleaning rooms and doing dishes and bedtimes and routine.  But we know how to throw in some fun occasionally.  There is a skate park that is only about a 10 minute bike ride from our house, which the kids LOVE to go visit.  The big kids ride their bikes around and the little girls play at the playground.  We don't go often because it is usually overrun with loud, foul-mouthed teenagers saying and doing things that I'd rather my kids not imitate.

But guess what?  When there is snow on the ground, there are no teenagers around and the kids can slide and play to their hearts' content.  Yay!

So who cares if it is cold and wet and snowy?  Let's go play!  As some Europeans say, "There is no bad weather, only unsuitable clothing!"  (I can't seem to make out who originally said this; Swedes, Danes, and Norwegians all claim it; I read it in an educational philosophy book that attributed it to the German people.)  Whoever said it, it's awesome, and a great reminder to me to get outside and enjoy the fresh air, even in winter.
