Rachel loved ballet 1 and seemed to have a knack for dancing.
McKinley hated preschool dance and seemed to have a knack for laying on the floor and ripping holes in her tights.
Ha! I though she would be so excited to participate after being on the sidelines and watching for a couple of years, but, alas, I was wrong. She did, however, want to do the recital so she could wear the fluffy froo-froo angel costume. :) Luckily the school we are taking dance from enrolls by semester, so she can just be done with all this dance class nonsense.
What mom?
You
want me
to stand still?
Nope. I will not.
Super thrilled to be onstage. #grumpyangel
On the other hand...Rachel actually WAS thrilled to be onstage as a Spanish dancer.
She is the tiny one on the bottom right:
Lovely!
Rachel was a total trooper and made it through a 3 hour dress rehearsal followed by 2 nights of shows - and still going to school bright and early in the morning! Each day was harder to wake up but we made it through the week. We love watching her dance, she really enjoys it. Olé!Not to be forgotten - we also attended the (*free!*) Clarke Farms Winter Social this past weekend. Highlights: Horse drawn trailer rides, cocoa, jumpy castles, crafts, and a popcorn bar with loads of candy that you could scoop into your bag of popcorn. Extra Bonus: no kids threw up in the jumpy castles this year so they did not have to be evacuated. Sweet! And of course, a visit with Santa:
He was very jolly and assured McKinley that he had an entire area where his elves only made pink things, when she asked for "something pink" for Christmas. It was a great way to kick off the Christmas celebrations!
