'Twas the night before Christmas,
And all through grandma's house...
the cousins were acting out the nativity, but one little wise man was cleaning the glass door with her face while she waited for her turn on stage. :)
The stockings were hung on the half-wall with care,
in hopes that Saint Nicolas soon would be there.
PS - the play is done, go to bed NOW so Saint Nicolas can visit!
When up in the family room,
there arose such a clatter
the parents rushed up
to see what was the matter.
Just 8 darling children,
dividing up gifts,
and shaking, and guessing,
and giving them sniffs.
(or not, but it rhymed. most gifts had no scent.)

New skates for the ballerina.
Just sisters being excited. :)
Later, who knows
what adventures are waiting -
like sledding down hills...
...and gingerbread decorating!
(this is the cousins eating pizza. But they DID decorate gingerbread houses later!)
We had a great time
Visiting family this season,
in our rental car,
we all managed to squeeze in,
(with the dog. it was tight...)
