The kids had a good time voting in our "elections" today, and learning more about the whole process. We filled out voter registration cards, played election day bingo (words like inauguration, platform, and nominate), and then voted on our special ballots.
I am so glad this election season is over. It has been so vitriolic and mean and ugly; neither major candidate was respectable or worth voting for. It's done now, and only time with tell how it will play out. But at least our conversations and the news media can MOVE ON so that the kids will not keep hearing and repeating all of this garbage. Hallelujah!
