A blessed event; plus all the Colorado you can handle

What a fun and busy 3 weeks it has been - Ragged Mountain, then Grand Junction, then this past week we crammed in as much Colorado fun as we could with Mom and Dad Mitchell, Rob and Kristen and their girls, and John, who only was up for a *little bit* of Colorado fun. Apparently camping in hail and using a log potty don't qualify as fun in your book, eh? John, we have to mention that Caleb asked when we went to bed, "Why is it so hard?" We reminded him we were sleeping on the GROUND. (One of the reasons Uncle John gave the kids for why he wasn't going camping - because sleeping on the hard ground stinks.) Love ya, buddy.

I wasn't joking about the hail, but it was short lived and Kip pulled me through. The s'mores helped too. The night went as well as camping does, and the next morning was clear and beautiful. We all got to have some 4-wheeling fun

... so thanks to Mom and Dad T for letting us use the 4-wheelers. The guys went fishing, but didn't have much luck, so no trout dinner. Caleb did have some fun babysitting the worms - talking to them, playing with them, licking his dirty worm fingers afterwards...but no fish. I know you were disappointed Kristen, maybe next time they'll catch something!

But I get ahead of myself - we went to the Glenwood Hot Springs; however I am kind enough not to post pictures of us all in our swimsuits. It rained on us, but of course the water is warm. We didn't bring our quarters to turn on the jets, but our family is pretty good at making bubbles for free (wink). Don't even have to worry about the smell when your sitting in a sulfur pool. Rachel slept through the whole time in her car seat. Easy baby.

All the kids did great, it's quite a hike up the mountain, and Rebekah made it even with a case of hives! We are all thankful it wasn't chicken pox.

Then of course on Sunday, we blessed little Rachel and were so glad to have all the family on both sides out to be with us on her special day. Seeing the chapel full of our families was so amazing and touching. Thank you to all who made the trip!
