Officially certified
Through the months of February and March, Caleb worked on his hunter's safety certification. The goal was to take the "conclusion course" with his cousins in Grand Junction in early March. He had fun taking his little online lessons and quizzes, but declared the final day "really boring." Haha. Oh well, at least now he's official and can accompany Kip on hunting trips! While the older cousins did that all day, we played and hiked around a bit, including a walk over the hill to "bloody bones," a series of rock formations with caves and cool spots to secretly meet. Depending on which grand-kid you ask, there are all kinds of spooky stories about how bloody bones got its name...people or animals falling, ghosts haunting, but I'm pretty sure they are all made up. :) Either way, you won't catch any of the girls walking there in the dark!
