It's that time of year - recitals and field trips and end-of-season parties galore. We started off with a bang - Caleb and Ella's piano recital. We switched to a new teacher this year and they are LOVING it - she is awesome.
Ella played "Hedwig's Theme" from Harry Potter; Caleb played "I'm A Pirate" from the Pirates of the Caribbean, and "Everything is Awesome" from The Lego Movie. They both had their pieces memorized and did fantastic! I love, love, love watching them play.
Also, Ella rounded out her volleyball season with a second place finish at the tournament! Watching has become quite fun as she has gotten older; it is more of a rally because the kids can serve over the net and even return serves quite often. It was a fun way to spend a morning, watching her play. She had a great coach this year that really brought out the best in her.
This next celebration was Caleb's 5th grade graduation at Orchard Options - next year he is officially considered a middle-schooler and gets to choose ALL of his classes (versus choosing 2 in elementary, the other four are the same for everyone). Shaking hands with his site coordinator:

And coming full circle back to recitals, Rachel finished out the year of dance with her spring recital. She loves dance and seems to have talent for it.
Whew! We have loved watching everyone succeed and perform, and we will appreciate and enjoy taking it easier for a little while. :)
