40 never looked so good!

It was a big year for Kip and Kendra: the big 4-0! Yipee!

 

Kip and I enjoyed breakfast together, then he had to head to work because grown ups have to work on their birthdays!  I headed to Jackson for lunch, where we tried a local Mexican food place that was recommended by someone at work (yum!).  That evening we invited a few new friends over - we've only been here for a couple of weeks, but everyone is quite friendly!  We grilled some steaks and brats and managed to pull of a successful Texas sheet cake for the birthday boy.  The girls worked hard to decorate the house with streamers and balloons, and Caleb made a lego "Happy Birthday" sign for the table.

We are grateful to have such an adventurous husband and dad for our family!  He is hard working and supports all of our endeavors, helps us explore new territory and appreciate the great outdoors.  We love him!  40 years looks good on you, babe!
