Ges what cicken Butt

Nothing like a little McKinley humor to start the morning!  "Guess what, chicken butt!  Guess who, chicken do.  Guess why, chicken die."  A little morbid, maybe, but at least she knows the correct way to spell "butt" for this usage.  So proud.

I picked up this gem while I was tidying up before work because - OH YEAH, the house we're renting is now for sale.  Dangit.  We're not-so-secretly hoping that no one wants to buy it for at least 8 months or so because we need the time to build our new house and don't want to move twice.  #firstworldproblems

On that note, not much is  happening while we wait for the bank to approve our loan, but we did get the house staked out so Kip can jump in and start digging the second we get a green light.
The kids love wandering the site, running around all Little-House-On-the-Prairie style. I'm pretty sure Caleb is sitting the in background trying to pick out a splinter.  When the stakes are all laid out, the house actually looks kind of small-ish, but I hear that once we dig a hole and pour a foundation and start framing, it starts looking big-ish again.

And, not to be forgotten, Ella finally got back into volleyball this week, yay!  This was just a skills camp hosted at the high school for 3 days, but it got us in the door so we would know to sign up for summer camp and more about tryouts when Ella moves over to the *gasp* middle school next year.  She was in her element, although it was a little bit startling because she is literally half the size of some other sixth graders.  I hope she doesn't get squashed!!  (Can you spy her in the group picture?  Black and blue stripes, smaller than everyone else...?
We are getting into a busy time of year, and the countdown is ON for the end of school!
